Parnell Penthouse Kitchen Renovation

🏡 The Brief:

Our returning client had previously trusted us with her ensuite renovation — and this time, she invited us back to breathe new life into her penthouse kitchen. Located on the 4th floor of a central Auckland apartment building, this project came with logistical challenges, but a clear creative brief: she wanted a kitchen that felt lighter, more refined, and timeless in its design. Functionality, style, and visual harmony with the rest of the home were key goals.

🔨 What We Did:

Livia worked closely with the client to reimagine the kitchen layout, creating a space that felt open, minimal, and grounded in natural textures. Through 3D renders, she was able to bring the concept to life early in the process, allowing for confident decisions and fewer surprises.

Darren managed the renovation from start to finish, coordinating the removal of existing fixtures, overseeing refinishing of the timber floors, and ensuring the build progressed smoothly despite the constraints of working in a multi-storey apartment.

- Designed and installed a custom 3.4m island bench with waterfall edges and grooved panelling

- Constructed a recessed ceiling feature with matching grooved detail and soft LED strip lighting

- Integrated sleek black European appliances for a sophisticated contrast

- Refinished the original timber floors to maintain warmth and connection to the rest of the home

- Used 3D renderings to guide design decisions and ensure clear client understanding
